One lucky charity is set to receive £300 from the Grosvenor Centre this July and, just like the recent General Election, the power is with the people.
In April, East Cheshire Hospice became the first charity of three to receive a donation from the centre after being chosen by the management team as part of the centre’s 2017 Charity Fund scheme. In the spirit of voting and nominations, the people of Macclesfield can get behind a cause or organisation close to their heart.
“We really value feedback from shoppers about all aspects of the Grosvenor Centre,” said Centre Manager Ed Kennedy. “This is a great chance for members of the public to tell us who they think really deserves to receive a donation and I’m looking forward to seeing who is put forward.”
To nominate a charity, shoppers should head to the Grosvenor Centre’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GrosvenorCentreMacclesfield  on Monday 3 July. There, they’ll be able to comment under the post asking who they think deserves to receive the £300 donation. Nominations will close on Monday 17 July at 5pm with the selected charity set to be announced the week commencing 24 July.
“It’s really easy to take part and a great chance to tell us about the fantastic work that charities and organisations do in the area,” added Ed.
The Grosvenor Centre 2017 Charity Fund will be donating to three different worthy causes throughout the year. In November a third charity will be announced after being selected by retailers in the centre.
