Five schools from across Macclesfield will now have even more chance to win a whopping £1,000 as the closing date for the Shop for School initiative has been extended.
Due to popular demand, Shop for Schools will now run until Friday 18 November giving visitors to the centre even more time to support their chosen school.
Grosvenor Centre Manager, Ed Kennedy, said he was thrilled to be able to extend the deadline for the prize that has more than doubled from £400 to £1,000 for 2016. “This is our biggest ever prize for Shop for Schools and the response has been great,” said Ed. “We wanted to extend the closing date so that as many people as possible had the chance to support their chosen school.
“We’re expecting the centre to get even busier the closer we get to Christmas so there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to take part.”
For every £10 spent at participating stores in the popular shopping destination, shoppers will be given tokens that are then used to vote for the school of their choice in the voting box, located near Don Millers Bakery.
“Shop for Schools is our way of giving back to youngsters in the community,” said Ed. “It’s one of the most important times of the year for us and with £1,000 up for grabs for the winning school, we’re thrilled with how popular it’s been so far.”
