As a new rugby season fast approaches, Macclesfield RUFC (MRUFC) will once again have the Grosvenor Centre in their line-up, as the popular shopping destination and the most successful sports club in Cheshire have teamed up for another year.
The newest deal runs until March 2018 and includes shirt sleeve sponsorship of the club’s mini and junior teams, as well as individual sponsorship of first team players - winger Matthew King and 2016/2017 Players’ Player of the Year, prop Tom Mantell.
Grosvenor Centre Manager, Ed Kennedy, said he was delighted to again be teaming up with MRUFC. “We’ve really enjoyed being a sponsor of the club and being able to support them over the last season. I’m thrilled that we’ll be doing so for a second successive season,” said Ed.
“Both MRUFC and the Grosvenor Centre share a number of values, including being family focused and proud members of the community and I’m looking forward to continuing our partnership. From everyone at the centre I’d like to wish them a huge ‘good luck’ for next season.”
MRUFC Commercial Director, David Wilkinson said he was thrilled to continue such a successful collaboration. “Sponsorship such as this is really important to us as it helps the club continue to grow and bring the next generation of players through. We’re really pleased that the Grosvenor Centre will be staying as part of the MRUFC family.
“We’ve got a lot to look forward to over the next season and I’d encourage everyone in Macclesfield to come along to our games and show the support that helps makes this town great.”
Tom Mantell, added: "Great to see that the Grosvenor Centre are on board again with the Rugby Club, hopefully we can excite the Macclesfield people to come and watch on a Saturday".
"Hopefully by scoring a few tries this season we'll be hearing the Grosvenor Centre shout-outs on a regular basis," concluded Matt King.
